The use of precast concrete pavers has been growing all over the world, especially in Brazil. One of the reasons for this expansion is the possibility of using alternative materials for its production, whose main concern is the balance between technical, economic and environmental aspects. These can be produced in different format options, patterns, colors and shades allowing different aesthetic possibilities, in addition to their application in different places, such as squares, parking lots, bike paths, among others. In view of this, the objective of the research was to study the feasibility of producing pavers, partially replacing the cement in the concrete used in the manufacture of pre-molded, in the proportions of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% by rice husk in natura, a by-product of rice processing. A standard sample (without adding rice husk) was adopted as a reference, in addition to comparing with pavers commercially sold by different establishments. The tests were carried out using NBR 9781 (2013) as a reference, which indicates the requirements (visual inspection, dimensional evaluation, water absorption and compressive strength) so that they can be commercialized. Pavers with partial replacement of 20% of the cement by rice husks proved to be unfeasible for any test. The remaining 5%, 10% and 15% were produced and had their properties evaluated. As for the visual aspect, in all proportions, the presence of small holes in the blocks was noted, which was an indication that the introduction of this residue (rice husk), directly influenced the process of vibration and elimination of bubbles in the concrete. The dimensional evaluation of the produced pavers showed small variations in their dimensions. However, the shape index showed values that varied between 3.1 and 3.5, a value below that recommended by the standard (4.0). As for water absorption, there was an increase as the percentage of rice husks in the composition increased. The samples with the addition of rice husks showed an absorption percentage greater than 7.0%, which is the limit value required by the standard. As for the compressive strength, a decrease was observed with the increase in the percentage of rice husks.
